February is all about LOVE! It is Heart Health Awareness month and of course, Valentine’s Day.
Our heart is truly an amazing organ, working all day everyday in the background. This muscle pumps blood throughout our body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to every cell in our body while removing waste. 24/7.
It sustains life.
So, how do you take care of your heart?
Eating a nutrient dense, whole foods diet like I teach is a good place to start.
Finding consistent, right movement for you is also at the top of the list.
So are getting adequate sleep and learning how to manage your stress response.
Where do you physically feel stress in your body? I know for a lot of people, myself included, we feel it in our chest area as a tightening or constriction.
Did you know that a high sugar diet can cause heart problems? Did you know that sugar is not just in the obvious cakes, cookies, and candies we think of?
Join me Tuesday, February 25th at 6:00 pm MST for a free webinar, “Can I Have my Cake and Eat it too? A Workshop all about Sugar.” You will learn about sugar, where it comes from, imbalanced blood sugar and what you can do to support not only your heart, but your overall health.
This workshop is for everyone who eats. You will walk away with actionable tools to take care of yourself and those you love.
I am sharing a couple of heart healthy recipes here. Arugula and beets contain nitric oxide, an important compound that supports proper blood flow. Beets are good for the blood itself. These recipes include fiber, antioxidants, and protein, all important for heart health!

With Love,
